“By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”  (Galatians 5:22-23)
Want Less – Give More Kindness and compassion generate good, positive feelings for all; Whereas “wanting” tends toward isolation, dissatisfaction and division. There is no limit to kindness or desire. One leads to contentment, the other to dismay; one builds, the other takes away; one abides empty, the other abides satisfied. Faith (living and giving “fruit of the spirit”) always encourages and empowers both the ones who give and the ones who receive. This “holy” way, no one has to lose. (Is it really that difficult to choose?) |
